Small organ with a Psalterium-Keyboard: instead of regular keys the instrument has a modified keyboard with keys disposed as the strings from a psalterium:
Additionally there is also a psalterium on the virtual instrument. Together with an appropiate program it is possible to configure a touchpad to emulate the disposition from the actual keyboard. Included is a configurations file for XotoPad.
Please note that none of the sounds are from the original instrument: only very few pipes are able to produce a sound. This sampleset is only intended to reproduce the function from the instrument. The recorded pipes are those from Hauslaib claviorgan wich are very similar to those from this organ. It is indeed planned to restore the pipes and record the whole soundbank as soon that they are ready. The mechanics will indeed not be restored to preserve all original pieces of this very unique instrument.
The sound of the included psalterium is also borrowed from different instruments from museum, allowing with the suggested interface to virtually play a catalan psalterium from the middle of the 18. century.
First Kyrie from the Missa super Ut Re Mi Fa Sol La from Cristóbal de Morales played on a psalterium and on the electronic simulation from this organ. The church acoustics helps!
You can play it directly from this page 🔗. It may take a few seconds to work at startup. If you have a MIDI keyboard and install this extension on the Chrome browser, you'll be able to use it without having to download anything.
